Make a cuppa (or pour a wine), sit back and get to know the girls who are all about Frankie & Dandelion.

First up is Kirsty Carpenter - a gorgeous girl inside & out, she has been one of our biggest supporters from day one and is the epitome of the Frankie & Dandelion "soul". Kind, warm hearted and a lady juggling it all.

Name Kirsty Carpenter

Age 29

Size 18

What is your occupation?

Payroll Officer for a school

What is the dress code for your workplace?

Business dress during term time and neat casual during school holidays

How would you describe your style?

Eclectic - I love looks from all ages (both modern and classic) but being comfortable is a must

What are your go-to wardrobe essentials?

Leather-look leggings, ankle boots and kimonos

What are your go-to accessories?

Earrings and scarves

Summer or Winter?

Neither, I'm a Spring or Autumn girl! I love the change of season, when the nights are crisp but the days are still sunny

Finish this sentence: I can’t leave the house without……

an enormous handbag stuffed to the brim with snacks, wipes, water bottles etc!

Do you have children? If so, what ages are they? Do they affect your choice of clothing and accessories?

Yes, one son (Henry) who is nearly 2 and half. He definitely affects my choice of clothing/accessories as he never stops running so I need to wear clothes I can easily chase after him in (not to mention clothes that stand up to dirt, food, sand and all other manner of things that little boys can throw at it!). Unfortunately I have had to forgo some of my drop earrings since his arrival as they are just too tempting.... I am hoping it is not long until he is old enough to understand not to touch so they can reappear

What are your hobbies?

Reading and cooking (that's about all I get time for, haha). I would like to write a book someday...

What is your favourite thing about yourself?

I like to think that overall, I am a happy person

What is your favourite way to unwind/treat yourself?

A bath or hot cup of tea and a good book

What do you find challenging?

Trying to balance family, work and domestic duties without going completely insane

Why do you love Frankie & Dandelion?

I love the philosophy that every woman is beautiful and that you cater to a variety of sizes. The blogs are always positive and encouraging, promoting women to support and uplift other women. In a world full of negativity, this truly is a breath of fresh air. Plus, I love that you are an Australian business and that you make some of the garments by hand right here in SA!

Who inspires you?

Zoe Foster-Blake, Sophie Cachia (aka the Young Mummy), Tess Lekakis, my Mum, my Mother-in-Law and my Grandparents

Who is your style icon?

Audrey Hepburn, Carey Mulligan (especially in the Great Gatsby) and Emma Watson

What advice do you have to other ladies out there?

Be kind to yourself. As Roald Dahl said "A person who has good thoughts cannot every be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick out teeth, but if you have good thoughts they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely"

And finally, what is your favourite piece from our current range?

The Rosalina kimono - colourful, floral and velvet, what's not to love?
